Paperbag Music is an independent Sydney based label that has been around for about 5 years. We enjoy putting out music by bands we like, doing shows and partying. We’ve been been doing heaps of shows in Sydney and up and down the east coast and one time even went to Adelaide (it was pretty good)

In 2013 we’ve started focusing on selling digital formats and helping bands  get their stuff out online. We also started focusing on keeping a digital collection of defunct Australian punk bands to keep their music available digitally.

Since 2007 we’ve been doing an annual Joe Strummer charity event called Revolution Rock that raises funds for the Strummerville charity. Check them out, they’re pretty ace!


1. Will you sell my music?
You’re more than welcome to send us a link to your stuff. Send us an email at contact@paperbagmusic.com.au and we’ll check it out.

2. I want an item that’s out of stock. When will you have it?
We try and keep our store up to date. If there’s anything particular your looking for, please contact us.

3. What’s your return policy?
If something arrives and it’s faulty, damaged or the wrong item then we’ll replace it free of charge. However, we don’t replace items if you’ve purchased the wrong item or decide you don’t want it now.

4. I tried buying something off your site and I’m having issues.

5. How long will my order take to arrive?
We try and post stuff out as quick as we can. Once we get your order we’ll try and send it out within 3 business days. Contact us at orders@paperbagmusic.com.au to check on your order.
