ALEX PARTY CAT

Didn’t get a ticket to Billy Bragg? Missed out on the Ramones? Come see Alex Party Cat!

Alex Party Cat started out as either the best or the second best bass player in Sydney (jury is apparently still out), playing in punk bands Extra Limb and The Colytons to crowds in their tens in the late 90s/early noughties. Now out on his own, he’s taken his pop punk sensibilities and picked up an acoustic guitar and his inside voice to bring us songs that anyone who has had their heart broken or been kicked out of a pub in Newtown will relate to. At an Alex Party Cat show you’ll sing along, dance and maybe even shed a tear.

His newly released EP “Broken Bottles and Minor Chords” features the recording genius and sweet harmonies of Jay Whalley from Frenzal Rhomb and Jonny Turcinskis from Chinese Burns Unit/Grand Fatal.
